I hope and suspect that everyone is underestimating the improvements made to the Mark III image quality. I think there is a lot of innovation here and it might just be a rare case of of marketing actually understating the significance of the improvements. Time will tell indeed.
I have already been plotting what new things you can do artistically.
- Larger prints should be possible with good 1600 - 3200 ISO. I never want to use a flash again.
-The samples seem to show much improved pixel per pixel image quality over all existing EOS models. Time will tell.
- Ability to permanently assign back/front focusing micro adjustments to each of your lenses!
- Improved AF all the way around. Plus live zoomed preview in the 3" view finder...
- Artistically in multi-media, 10 fps can be used for much more than sports. Deep quality motion video. (Not to mention, with digital photo frames and stuff, wedding photographers could amaze customers with super high quality 10 fps animated .gifs). just the tip of the ice berg.
I agree generally though, it could be nothing special, marketing hype. Still, I CAN'T WAIT!
