I'm sure this has been asked multiple times. The age ol' question which lens is best. I've got a decent set of lenses. I've been using the Tamron 17-50 and 28-75 and the Canon 70-200 F4. I'm wondering if I only had two lenses, the Canon 16-35L 2.8 and the 24-105L f4, would this cover it. I know the L lenses offer superior focus and sharpness, but would the f4 be too slow?

I'm considering taking the leap and getting both. Can't really afford it, but the image quality would be worth it and possibly lead to more work to help pay for them.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks,

Jamey

Did you read the FAQ? LInk in my sig. 17-55 is the only lens you really need, I see no reason to get the 16-35L. A friend of mine uses the 24-105L on his 5D successfully, but I don't like the way people look at 24-35mm on full frame - skewed.

IMO, f4 isn't going to cut it for most indoor weddings. I love the 24-105, and use it a lot, but usually have to switch to a faster lens when indoors.

If I was going to stick with my 30D, I'd go for the 17-55 and a 70-200L 2.8. But it's too late. I already have the 16-35L, 24-70L and a 70-200L 2.8. For full frame, a 24-70L and a 70-200L 2.8 would cover 95% of everything, but something wider than 24 would be nice to have too.
