I would like to get my mother a digital P&S but don't really know which one to get. She is technologically challanged. She would need something easy to use and easy to understand. Does anybody have any suggestions.

One of the Canon A series point and shoots should be adequate to meet her needs. I looked at several of them recently for my child and felt that they were pretty user friendly.

the SD series should be nice. compact and little to no fancy extra features, should be perfect for her, truely point and shoot. if she needs something a little bigger to hold onto the A series would probably be the better choice.

I gave my wife (a self-professed drugstore one-time camera user, if a camera was needed an SD600 for a trip to Jordan and Egypt. She filled the 2 GB card she took (and hadn't taken the other one since "2 GB will hold hundreds of pictures!).
