I am not a dedicated birder but I could not pass this up. We had seen him (her?) a week or so ago in an empty lot behind Target. Maureen saw him again this evening, rushed home and we both went back, low and behold he was still there.
Shot with my 20D, 70-300 DO at 800 ISO, 1/640 sec and f/5.6. These are 100% crops of the original.

Feel free to correct me if I have misidentified this beauty.
