Went to the Omaka airshow today, and although not all of the aircraft can be called "fighters" there were an awful lot of interesting craft you don't see everyday.
e.g. Corsair doing it's wingbending partypiece:

Harvard doing flyby: some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

The flight from Wellington was definately a good move - flying into the show airfield & parking up with the rest of the aircraft was great. weka2000 wrote in post #3001504 Nice captures. Have any more? Buckets. I'll have to see if I can get to a webserver to upload some more rather than inserting. some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Apr 10, 2007 01:33 | #11 Excellent series. You are the master of the shutter for those beautiful prop effects! (I'm not worthy.) I like the triplane formation shot. Now that is a rare sight. Aloha,

Apr 10, 2007 04:40 | #12 thanks guys - not sure about "master of the shutter" there were plenty of really blurry shots deleted! I've decided that IS is useful for moving targets (mode 2) and reasonably static ones alike so at least something was learned. some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:
