Has anyone else expereienced this...

When I download pictures from my S3IS using the Canon-supplied software, ZoomBrowser automatically starts up to view the downloaded images. If I close the application the icon disappears as expected, but if you open TaskManager and look at the processes, Zoombrowser still exists.
Everytime I download images from the camera, another ZoomBrowser process hangs around. I don't like having these hanging processes lying about.

Do they go away on a reboot David or just keep accumulating? I don't use ZB very often so have not noticed this.

I have the same problem using Xp media edition; When I used it on Xp home edition it seems ok. If and when I use ZB (very rare now) I use the task manager to close down ZB otherwise as you stated they just keeping building and hogging memory. It seems that canon SW developers are not adhering completly to application shut down rules of windows that microsoft setforth.

No, they don't survive a reboot. The ZB process doesn't fire up at system startup time; it begins when you click the icon or connect the camera.

Today I was doing some experiments with the camera and connected/disconnected it with the computer half-a-dozen times. I was stunned a few hours later when I saw all those ZB processes hanging around.

I expected more from Canon's software utilities.

Surely a "bug" that they should remedy. I assume this has been reported to Canon?
