Thank you for this very clear and concise writing on how to light a subject for a portrait. Not only do the mechanics make sense in the way you present them, but you've also given me some conceptual understandings that I didn't have before.
I sense that on my next try, I won't just be following a 'do this, do that' recipe, but I'll have some insight into why I'm doing what I'm doing.
