I've never had such a difficult time taking good photos in my life, running through bushes, shooting through chain link fence, think I took about 200 of this guy, with 20 good ones, which is why I'm so happy with the ones that did come out, here's a sample.

I'll post the rest from my zoo trip in a week I think, when I have some time.

I'm really proud of these, I never thought I'd get a good Red Panda pic in my life let alone actions shots. It was a good day! :)

Very nicely done! Red Pandas are rather reclusive so you were fortunate to be able to get such good shots.

Thanks.

Ya, extremely, I've never even seen one move in my life.

I actually joined forces with a husband and wife team (Nikon photographers) who had a membership, and they said they come 10 times a year, and had never seen him this active, so I knew it worth spending an hour there trying to get the best out of the oppurtunity.

Very nice shots! All I got was his/her butt. LOL
What time did you shot those?
Love the poses and color. Congrats!

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure the time is set wrong on the camera, so I would guess around 2:30pm (ish).

They key was watching for a bit to learn the course he took as he walked around the enclosure, then setting yourself up in the best position and waiting for him to come around each time.

Fantastic, they are one of my favorite animals. I really like the first and last ones the best.

All of the pics of him in the tree are purely backlit, which sure made things difficult.
