Interesting article. I have to wonder how good camera phones are going to be in the future, huh? But I think I'll keep my 5D. 12.8 MP camera over the 3.2 mp phone. Don't you wish you can use your 70-200 IS on the phone, though? :)

I'm not digging on tamron but I don't know why they didn't use L glass with the 5D. There was a logical progression when the gear so I expected a 24-70 or something on the 5D

I've had this phone for about 6 months now. The pictures are pretty good, but the focussing leaves something to be desired.

I'm not complaining though. It's great that i've always got a camera in my pocket.

I think the reviewer is right on the money in terms of that if you're printing at standard sizes, then a lot of camera phones or P&S cameras are more than adequate.
They don't have the best ISO performance though, image stabilisation in lots of them is fairly poor, but there certainly isn't anything wrong if you want to use them exclusively to take your holiday snaps.
A long sunset exposure at the beach however, will probably be beyond the capabilities of the mighty Camera Phone.
