I'm looking for an extreme yet low-light capable wide angle lens for the 5D. I'm thinking about the 15mm fisheye, and just defishing it with software, but how practical is this? It'll be used for group shots, landscapes, or just whenever my 24-70L isn't wide enough. If anyone can provide some examples with people in them, as well as landscapes defished with software using the canon 15mm fisheye id greatly appriciate it.

16-35 f/2.8L I or II?

Very wide on FF and f/2.8. Although, it is 2x or 3x more expensive.

The 17-40L is around the same price range, and less after the total of the fisheye and defishing software. If 17mm is not wide enough(which is hard to believe unless your doing extreme interior shots), then the Sigma 12-24 and 15-30 are both viable options at less of a price.

Yep, de-fishing is pretty easy (if you take the initial shot with de-fishing in mind). And, it gives some great results. I've had excellent results de-fishing my Peleng 8mm on my 20D, which acts almost like a 15mm on your FF.
