I like to include exif in my posts, but ever since I have been embedding from smugmug, the exif is no longer there. I know that I save the pictures with the exif intact. And I know that the exif info is on smugmug. But when I post them here, it disappears. Anyone know how to fix that?

Well, here is the answer to the question. It is a PITA and I don't see myself doing it. http://dgrin.smugmug.com/gallery/1083138 (external link)

I guess what happens is smugmug strip the exif information on upload and store it in a database so it is available through smugmug but not in the actual file.

But it did. When I click on your photo I see a new page with a thumbnail and the exif info.

Aha - yes it did work. I was right clicking and trying to use Opanda exif reader.

So if we try to use this new method, we will just have to tell people to left click it for the exif. I don't know if everybody would know to do that.

Smugmug leaves your originals untouched, so if they have the EXIF, it remains, but any of the generated smaller sizes have EXIF stripped.

Scott, if you do the instructions in the link in my above post, you will see how to get the exif.

Superdiver - I do not see any image at all. Just the dreaded red x.

I know...I asked smugmug help what I did wrong and they should respond today sometime...

I went to the "photo info" page and copied that link from there, but no picture...how did you do it?
