I think it's a young gray squirrel, born this year.  If anyone else goes to the refuge and is looking for this little bundle of joy, I was out on the boardwalk between the Barns and the River Trail. And if anyone knows where the owls hang out near the barns, I'd sure appreciate it if you could give me a hint on where to look. Dave
