good to see the disbanding of the 'strap hasn't left malcolm listless. nice photo of mr appendix out (roberts) as well.

i like those two the best because of the increased contrast as well..the top ones seem a bit too mid-tone grayish.

Nice set! I prefer the intimate settings to the mob enthralled stages.

Yeah, these are nice. I prefer people just playing music to 'performances'...and these are just that...people just playing music. I think the first couple could use a little levels adjustment/midtone contrast bump to give them a little more 'pop'. They are nice as they are though. It's tough though when the skin tone is so close to the color wall color. Do you have any in color?

Thanks for the comments. I struggled to get the tones as stark as I would have liked them on the 'daytime' shots despite fiddling with contrast, exposure and shadows on the RAW files. Couldn't quite get it right, but I do kind of like the grey'ish tone.

@ bacchanal, Some of the walls were virtually bright orange so I desaturated the majority of the images as I thought they stood out better. I do still have the RAW files though.

Here are a few colour ones:

I like #1 and the last best.
I think I'd crop #3 a bit closer.
Nice B/W conversion.

These are all sharp... that is an excellent start... the compositions are varied and each has positive merits... I really like the color set even more, and love the background in the last picture...
