Thanks...I've been practicing quite a bit at work with no kids and wife present.:p you know how that goes. The sky was clean and the moon was full. All I did was lower the temperature on DPP because I'm on Mac without PS. I'm working on getting PS+lightroom though.

Wharghh... have had a couple crazy weeks lately, so I'm just catching up on what you've all been up to =) I love the lantern shots, and the chopper shot- what's the exposure time on that one? Now I just gotta actually go out and get some shots of my own!

The photo I did was 30sec @ f/9. I used 30sec max and found the aperature that would take it on Av. I believe 30sec is the max the camera can auto shutter. You would have to bulb for longer exposures.

Sounds good :).

Just got a friend of mine into Canons. He's going to sell his D200 + 18-200mm VR to get a 5D or used MkII and some lenses. If you guys know of anyone selling some, pass the word along:).

Are you going to sell your Sigma too? I think the 24-105 is the best outdoor walkaround lens. It's tough to drop the IS. I'd stay put unless you really need the quality. Looking at your signature gearlist, I'm envious. :p

Thanks!

I would probably sell the Sigma too. I'm doing alot of more stuff that require fast lenses. want to get my gear to this some day...

16-35L II 24-70L (or the fabled 28-70L) and the 70-200L IS...even toss in the 85L and maybe a 300L 2.8 into the mix. Ideally I hope and believe i will be satisfied with that lens set up and a 1D MkIIn or 1D MkIII with my 1D Classic as back up.

My wallet cries everytime i look at camera stuff online. i must repress the buying impulse! If you guys hear of any deals and feel like hooking a brother up lemme know. Cheers!

p.s. whens the next meet?
