Oh hey! don't get me wrong...I love natural light :D I am a huge natural light shooter, and use it solely when can...... But what I should have said is don't put limitations on yourself. I mean if you can learn iso settings, f/ stops, and EV value you are already over the hump.

lol i know iso f-stops, ev and all that jazz. just not sure where to position flash guns when doing studio work.

Got a nice belated Christmas present from myself yesterday. I'm going to be paying it off for awhile but I think it was worth it. Hopefully I can put it to good use.

Very nice... A whole new ball game with 1D series! Congrats!

hmmm. pros and cons. i'm not sure. i like that i can recover almost anything. provided it was backed up in time machine. My work computer is backed up every hour. and then out IT guy backs up the external taht i have backing up the main HDD.

con is that apple reccomends that you have an external back up the HDD. Too bad not all externals are all THAT reliable. i lost around 200 photos from 06-2005 to 08-2005. since i didn't get to burn those to CDs yet.

:-(

did that make sense? i hope so. O_O.

You scare me =/

Yeah, I just bought another ext HD so I could free up my internal HD. That USB cable transfer is very slow. Now I will have two ext HDs (different brands) and DVDs as backups. I ordered 100 Taiyo Yuden DVDs yesterday. Researched them to be most reliable for archive.

I should do that as well.

Do you guys think 2 ex-hd's (have 1 right now) and a dvd copy should be good? I had a close encounter with losing all my photos on my old laptop and that really scared the shat out of me

I think I missed the focus on the first one and hit the basketball, and the second one I needed some gobos on the side lights.

I'd put a piece of tape or a drop of glue on the toe screw. I lost 2 of them already. Its the black screw on the left of the camera.

And some from the photoshoot! On my screen the backgrounds look completely white. However, when I have looked on less bright screens I have noticed that the background is not completely washed out. I need to fix that in photoshop or something, and maybe kick up my background lights a little next time.

Works for me. Is Chani almost done with school?
