1Dmk3 - Used with Sub-mirror fix, good condition = $3600
1Dmk3 - Brand Spanking New - $4,149.45
I seen one for $3600 on Craigslist, if thats true, you'll have a chance to examine it before plucking down the money.

You could get a EF-S 60mm Macro from Canon. Roughly 96-100mm with the crop factor. f/2.8. I've heard good things and I think Kyler either has one has had one. He could tell you about it.

I just got my XTi this past December and I also live in Kaneohe...but I'm not a girl. And I'm not as talented as the other forum members...I'm a newbie who lost interest for awhile and now I'm trying to get inspired to start shooting again. ChrisThat's ok Chris, that your not a girl:p I'm not all that wonderful myself. I shot Film for most of my photography career, now I am finding that digital is a whole other beast!!! I am slowly but surely figuring it out. If ya you need some inspiration let me know I can maybe throw some ideas out there for ya. I felt like that before, sometimes you just loose the motivation.

I just got into digital photography so I'm not familiar with macro lenses, but B&H has quite a few macro lenses for Canon DSLRs that cost less than $300...but I have no idea how good they are. That looks like a good deal. That Craigslist one comes with the extra OEM batt too. If you can test the AF yourself then that's the best thing. If it had the submirror fix he should have a paper that says it was done and that the warranty was extended a year from the date of the fix. Ask for a copy of the receipt if you buy it too--you'll need it if any warranty issues come up. The guy I bought mine from actually sent me a copy of the receipt with the personal info blacked out and retained the original and said he would help me out with any warranty issues if they ever came up which was great.
