There was a scratch on the front element that doesn't show up on prints, but it was NOT confirmed by Canon. Focus mechanism was broken and fixed at Canon. ChrisIt's only $950 for lens, $1100 is with 2x extender. Deals are unbelievable this month for higher end stuff. Lens was built on 11/07 so less than a year old. Aloha,

Looking forward to seeing pictures of your new son. I like the PP done to this photo...nice colors. tommy52 wrote in post #6517542 ![]() Cool shot. Gee, that's a big boy...don't usually see overweight kids in Japan. Great capture! Good shot...I like how you can read the caption on his shirt..."Your smile has a special magic that always makes me happy"...but not today. tommy52 wrote in post #6517542 the 3yr olds ran this, this is not my kids, but i think their expressions were really cute Yeah, great expressions. Funny how the girl and boy have the same body positioning, but the girl just runs like a girl. I like seeing the activity in the background too...some short attention spans. http://www.flickr.com/photos/samanax/

So with the 2x extender you basically have a 140-400mm lens? Linkzi wrote in post #6517810 Deals are unbelievable this month for higher end stuff. Really. I noticed lots of 5Ds and 20/30/40Ds for sale...looking to upgrade to the 5D MkII and 50D I guess. http://www.flickr.com/photos/samanax/

ChrisSaw that too, but its NOT an IS. Title says it, but not the description. If it was, I would have just bought it and turned around and sold it. Looks like a price war on CL. http://honolulu.craigslist.org/oah/pho/884162887.html But in addition to the new Canons, could some photographers be feeling the pinch of the economy too? This could be another reason for lower prices and fast sales. Now a non-IS would make more sense at that price. Aloha,
