About to place an order for about $65 USD on overnightprints.
However, shipping to Canada is very expensive if you don't go standard.
They are using UPS, and I know that regular UPS (which is $20 vs every other option which is over $60), has crazy brokerage fees and stuff.
What should I expect? It's hard for me to justify $60 in shipping for business cards, but will I pay it back in brokerage fees anyway?
Has anyone ordered from them before in Canada, had them ship standard and have no problems?

UPS Standard / Ground is usually ~$40 in brokerage/duties
UPS Expedited / Express has the brokerage/duties/customs clearance incorporated in the original price. Yes it's more expensive but I figure I already spend $40 on brokerage after that... so might as well get it quick.

//edit: Of course you have to pay taxes nonetheless.

SO you think it might be worth paying the extra $40?

I know this won't help, but I avoid UPS and FedEx because of their brokerage fees. I boycott them for it. I try to only use USPS. Plus the fact that Canada Post has many pick up locations while with UPS or FedEx, I have to go almost out of town to get my package (I'm usually not home on delivery times and can't always get it at the office).

So IF the only two options are UPS express or regular, go with express. They will amount to about the same cost and you will get your cards faster. But whenever I can, I try to use USPS.

I do boycott them as well, unlike fed ex express services are cheap from that vendor, or I need something urgently.
I have all my stuff shipped via USPS. I always request global express, however most sellers don't get this right (I don't care, I'll pay the extra few bucks!)
