MPIX / pre-printing steps?

I have been considering actually printing some of my photos, but I want them done right.
I normally don't even use photoshop these days. I process my photos with lightroom, sometimes add a tad bit of sharpness to the raws (don't usually bother, it doesn't too much), and upload to the web (sRGB.)
For printing, do I need anymore steps?
Do I need to go into photoshop and do some smart sharpen or something (if so, is there a decent guide, I usually screw this up and oversharpen.)
Do I need to get the printer profile from mpix?
Do my photos need to be CMYK (If not, what color space should I use?)
Is it better to upload tiffs (I don't know if this will affect end quality.)
Do the photos need to be perfectly sharper at 100%? Unfortunately I got a few nice photos, however, they may be slightly OOF at 100% or unsharp.
