While Lightroom is better than PS I still have a problem with the way it functions and I don't know if it is just me or the program. I really don't see why it is so difficult to allow someone to print multiple size images on one sheet. My wife likes to scrapbook and I am constantly printing several small images (2x2, 2x3, 3x4, 3.5x5). Before I would have to create a new contact sheet everytime I needed to print because the nember of prints always changes. Image Zone, the software that came with my HP printer has better functionality for printing and it was free with the printer. I can choose what size paper (8.5x11) and then select what size and quantity of each print and the program fits all images on the page or multiple pages. Adobe needs to take note here IMO.

Mike - this isn't hard at all! For example, Just select 4 prints in your navigator down below, and then select the 2x2 cell template. Adjust for landscape or portrait, as needed.

Voila! You have four different prints on one sheet. Hope that is what you were talking about!

Step back please... I'm armed with a camera...

All the prints will be the same size (roughly depending on your crop). But what if I want a 5x7 and 2-3.5 x 5s on one page? Or a 2x2 and 3.5 x5 on the same page? LR still can not do that. It is all good though. I don't print like this often. :)

No, lighroom won't do different sizes... You can automate that through Photoshop (picture package) though. But now that I think about it, I am not sure you can do different images on a picture package in PS.

You can but it isn't easy and takes some time to setup. Since I don't do it that often I usuall just print one at a time.

I can, and sometimes do, use the software that came with my printer, HP's Image Zone. When you print from there you select the files you want to print, select your paper size, and select the size for each photo. Then it assembles a page that fits as many images per page as it can. It works quite well but you are limited to certain sizes.

Bump! Normally I do all my prints at Costco, but my parents upgraded to a pretty slick Canon all in one and there was a sale on Ilford paper at Costco, and well I just couldnt resist eating up their ink and checking out Lr's print module finally. It's pretty slick and once i got the colors set right I was pretty impressed at the quality of this $99 special =)

Anyway, I quickly banged into the limitations of the built in Print templates. For example I'd really like to have 3 wide mixing and matching aspect ratios and especially sizes across the page, and even more so I'd like to have 5 images on a page, one big one centered and 4 smaller ones lined up on its left and right. So far as I can tell I can't mix them this way. Anyone have a way to allow me to do that or a nice selection of galleries that arent quite so plain as the built in ones?

i like the way lr prints compared to ps, it looks better. but i installed the icc for red river satin pro paper, it shows up in ps but i can't seem to find any kind of soft proof ing in lr. when i print with lr the print properties comes up for my printer only and the icc isn't in there either. i'm confused. and yes printing different sizes is easy in ps i think it's file, atomate, picture style i don't have it on this computer.

I think I'd be able to understand your post if it had at least some basic punctuation!

Roy, good point. I have both but I'd prefer to stay in Lr if possible

I have both too but I feel more comfortable printing in PS. I suppose it's because I'm more used to it and I feel it gives me more flexibilty.

No offense, but you keep asking the same question in multiple threads and you still haven't answered a question I asked of you in post #16 of this thread:
