Had to go and photograph the mountains at the head of Loch Long and the mouth of the river Clyde tonight for my better half as she wants to use an image as a backdrop to a poster she has to present to some posh doctors soon. Very hazy today so it was kinda a lost cause, but I did get this, so thought I'd share. It's nothing special, but just makes me smile as it's been sunny today.

C&C all you like. It won't exactly go in my hall of fame either way! ;)

Cheers, Dave.

Stunning Dave :)

Just noticed... we share a surname. :) Originally from Scotland, because I know you mentioned about Chesterfield College? It's just that my surname hales from my Scottish ancestory. We could be long-lost relatives... ;)

It's a great shot manipula. The only thing is the sky is blown out and a GND would have helped balance the exposure better. You can do a quick adjustment in curves to bring down the highlights and a gradient filter in PS to help balance the exposure. You don't have IMAGE EDITING on, and I would like to give a crack at it. Cheers!

I think it was meant to. The reason being that the reflection from the sun is bouncing off and giving a nice glint from the tip of the rock.

I guess. Now, if it was me posting this shot, most would tell me it's blown out. And now that I know the difference, most would tell me the same thing, so, it's a matter of preference. I guess what you were going for maybe not what I see, but more importantly of what you see. This looks like a beautiful place for a good photo, and I would've liked to see more detail in the background. Cheers!

Nice shot.. I actually like the blown out bit, it gives a real "morning" feel (at least to me!).

Blimey here's a blast from the past! Was only a snapshot at the time, but one from the bunch did get used in Mrs Dave's poster for her presentation and is still getting her compliments from the suits at work so... :)

Cheers for the comments chaps.
