Red Teal

In the wetlands around the Central San Joaquin Valley we still have a fair amount of Cinnamon Teal in the soon to be dried out ponds. I'm taking every opportunity to get out and shoot pictures.......for soon these opportunities will be gone.

Very nice shots of a beautiful bird, nice and sharp with great feather detail and colours. ..I find this duck to be exceptionally difficult to get close to.

Agree with eccles - those oppressive-looking frames are totally unnecessary and only detract from the quality of the photos. Nice bird; I have seen one over here but it was most likely an escape from a wildfowl collection.

I like these shots for their crisp focus and beautiful way you caught the ducks eye .
