Very sad to loose a pet. I have been though it and know how you feel.

Thank you, much appreciated, I think we have all been there, for as much love as they give, its tough saying goodbye

Like losing a close relative, they need to increase the lifespan of family pets. nobosy likes to lose a oved one so soon.

Great shots for the occasion too. Too cute.

Its a shame they do not live longer, but the time we had will last a lifetime

Aww shoot .. sorry to hear ..

My lil girl Shasta .. (CFA Tonkanese Seal Point) just turned 14 .. and she really does still believe that
she's a kitten .. I was editing last nite, and caught her on her chair, yes she has her own computer chair lol.
She was playing with her tail as she was grabbin it and stuff, and I just shook my head ..

Glad you spent quality time with CalicoKat .. My Shasta is like a child to me ..

Thank you for the kind words. Keep on loving Shasta :)

sorry to hear that Jim, i am not a cat person but i know how hard it is to lose a pet sincei lost my dog that has been with me for 14 years. however, you are looking at it in the right way: she had a great life with a loving family and the memories that she has given you will live on forever.

Thanks Snir, I appreciate it. I will always remember the love she gave our family

Awww, man, I'm really sorry to hear this news. Great memories, but still. I'm sorry.

Thanks Puddle

Sorry about your Calicokat. I have an older cat now (she's 15) and her health isn't what it should be, but she's still got awhile to stay with us longer, plus all the rest of my animals still play with her. I did have a cat, Mr. Bilbo Baggins, that reached the ripe old age of 21.

Wow, 21 is great, I wonder whats the longest

Calico, Both my wife and I send our condolences and a prayer that your loss will be more bearable as time goes by, it is an awesome thing to have a relationship with an animal at the level that you and your kittie did, and I am sure that sometime soon some little curtain climer is gonna steal your hearts again, I am feeling your loss as we have lost before too! Take care my friend. Dale and Deborah.

Thank you Dale, I really appreciate the kind and supportive words and thoughts

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your beautiful cat. At the end of this month, it will be two years since our cat passed away. She was 19 years old and we had her since she was a kitten. We all miss her, but can enjoy many thoughts of her funny antics and heartwarming affection. Sometimes I still think I see her out of the corner of my eye, waiting for a scrap of some yummy treat being prepared in the kitchen or curled up asleep on the sofa.

Your cat will always be there in your thoughts. I feel very fortunate to have had the years I did with mine. Yes, we have other animals, cats included. But each one is their own individual and is missed when they are not with us anymore. My heart goes out to you, but you have the happy memories and lots of photos that will eventually make you feel better.

I am so sorry you lost her, but so glad you had her those many years. Even among greatly loved pets, some are extraordinarily special. Your precious Calicokat seems to be one of those priceless treasures of the heart.
