I use the Intervalometer regularly and certainly miss having the zoom stay zoomed while shooting. With the camera cycling on/off it loses the zoom setting.

Is there any work around that will leave the camera on or otherwise allow the zoom to remain active?

Thank you

Jim Curts

Jim, couldn't you adjust you power saving settings?

Will check but I believe the instruction manual said it turns completely off.

if i'm not mistaken, the s2 has a C mode. this mode will enable you to "save" custom settings, and then passing to another mode... when you go back to the C mode, the camera sets up with the configuration you set earlier.

and, again, if i'm not mistaken, the zoom factor will be remembered as well

Have to admit I have been curious about it holding the zoom. I will wait for your findings. Not much use if the zoom resets after the first shot to wide open and never goes back to what you wanted to shoot.

This is funny: I tested with my S3, and it does held the zoom. The cycle is: For the next shot the S3 turns on, goes back to the previous zoom setting, takes the next shot and turns off, waiting for the next shot.
