The final band of the night requested "No fron lights please".
Made photographing, let's say "interesting"....

For those interested: Here (external link) is thier myspace site, with music and some video material. Just to get an idea.

#1: Full stage, no front light. Hurray for RAW...

Great job with some tough lighting. Looking at the exif in #4, you must have really pulled him out of the shadows. :D I really like 1, 7, & 8 quite a bit. I also really like 5 because of his pose and the way the lines of light are hitting him, just wish he was hitting a note instead of the water bottle. :D

#2 face looks noisey. The blacks don't look black in #1. #5 and #7 are nifty. Did they have the green and gold motif all night?

OK... I get it now... the stage lighting guy is coordinating the colors to their outfits? Is that what they requested? and by not having any white frontal lighting it's supposed to add greater affect?.. It does create immediate "group identity" recognition... but not the greatest photography lighting...

I like #2, #7, and #8 best...

#1: Corners are around RGB value of 1; 1; 1. I did pull up the audience a bit too much maybe.
Agree on #2. Doesn't overly bother me though... Could have used a bit NR, but didn't.
Green and gold all night.

Lighting sucked basically, but it's what the band wanted. No idea why.

The jackets they wore were blue and yellow IIRC. Not too good combo with the colors of the lighting...
No coordination that I know of.

What was fun, was that the right guitar player was the only one not wearing a white shirt. The singer signalled him when they opened their jackets, and went like "WTF?" :)
