I currently have a .mac account that's about to expire. The only thing I use it for is the scheduled backups to the idisk and an external hard drive. I don't want to pay $100 for another year since I don't use any of the other features. So--can someone tell me what I should use to replace this? I want something that can schedule a weekly full backup and manual when I choose, and to do so in incrementals when appropriate (if that makes sense). I'm willing to purchase something, I just don't want to 'rent' it any longer.

I know I could drag and copy manually but I like scheduling it for the middle of the night.

Any reccomendations would be appreciated :D
Thanks
Nan

Are you talking about online backup solution or you willing to buy something like external HD? I use Lacie Porshe 500GB, and it comes with bundled software SilverKeeper for mac. That's how I backup localy.
Sorry if I missunderstood question :)
Cheers
Vlad

Thank you Vlad, that does help. I'm not wedded to online, just want comfort knowing my back ups are running to an external HD on a regular basis (along with CD/DVDs for important stuff that I do manually). I'm looking to buy more external HD so I will check that one out. Thanks much.

I use chronosync, works amazing, and i even have it set up to help sync my laptop and desktop, as well as do the required backups nightly.
