I have a Digital Rebel and would like to set up a home studio for portrait and "glamour" shoots.
I've done some reading and decided that I'm going to go with strobe and softbox setup.
I'm planning to get to 2 strobes and 2 Photoflex Softboxes.
The strobes I'm looking at are the White Lightning X800 or X1600. Is the extra money for the 1600 worth it for single person portraits?
I'm going with Photoflex Softboxes because they seem to be more versatile than the White or Alien softboxes. The Photoflex allows you to add attachments.
I spoke with a salesperson at White Lightning and he stated that the X800 should fit a Photoflex Halfdome Softbox. It depends on the speedring of the photoflex. Does anyone know if this setup will work together?
Tutorial about the following model was shot using Photoflex Softboxes...

This is a Photoflex Medium Starlite and Half Dome. Essentially, I would like these two softbox setups but with White Lightning strobes instead of continuous lighting.

How would I go about using these Photoflex Softboxes with White Lightning X1600's strobes? The above picture used continuous lighting but I would like to go with strobes. Thanks. Peter
