I bought my girlfriend an infrared filter for her birthday, and we decided to run out and test it out real quick on my newish (to me) car. It's been raining most of today, so we'll have to get better shots of the car and using the new filter on a later day.

is your g/f interested in photography or was it an excuse to get her something that you could just basically use since shes not interested? ;) either way, nice car!

She's into photography more than I actually. But it is nice to get dual use presents. Haha!

Great shots, were they with the kit lens? I thought that the kit lens gets a lot of flare with IR filters.

These were indeed with the kit lens. It would probably have some flare if the sun was out. It was a small break in the rain when we shot these.
