WANTED: a 'tick box' in the Export settings that says 'Export to same folder as original file', and that it does just that!!!

It is fairly annoying having to re-navigate to the location of the original path of a photo just to simply export 1 jpg with LR alterations. I cannot even 'paste' an Explorer path into the 'choose folder' box as there is no address bar to paste to...

I am on LR 1.1

In the print module, would it be practical to have a scaling option for print size? It now has the original size or zoom to fit but having a scaling slider might be nice for cropping in on a print, rather than having to create a VC and scale that prior to printing.

I'd like a quick way to reorganize the keyword heirarchy.

Much like you do in MS Outlook to rearrange the folders in the folder panel:

Right click on Keyword to move, and a window with the keyword tree pops up, you choose where you want it to go, and you're done!

(currently you have to drag and drop keywords to where you want them to go.)

Yes it would be very practical. The Print module IMO still needs more work. I want the ability to prints different size images on one page (like 1 - 5x 7, and 2 - 3.5 x 5 for example). I would also like to see the sharpen feature be a little more than just 3 drop down options, perhaps like the new sharpening in the Develop Module, but it needs to be image specific and not a global setting when printing mulitple images and/or pages.

This has become quite a list!!

Ok, I'll rearrange it into a sorted bulleted list I can pass on to the team when I get a moment, unless someone else happens to get time first.

Keep up the good work!

I really wish you could select an option to export to the same folder that the image was opened from. And maybe just maybe there would be a way to auto-sync that folder as a 'Post-processing' or something when it was done...

I wish Lightroom could automatically fill in the location data like iView does. For example, if you typed in "Banff National Park" and the heirarchy was Banff National Park --> Banff --> Alberta --> Canada, iView would fill in the city, province/state and country for you. Currently, lightroom shows the metadata for the location, but you can't drag that onto a pciture to have it fill out the rest.

Because of the time limitations this time round (had to match with the ACR/new camera releases), 1.2 is a bug fix / new camera release only. Don't worry, your wishlist is still in the running for a future update.

Yeah I know, just instigating some trouble, per usual! Hence the smiley. Actually my biggest concern with Lightroom so far have been performance. I don't miss much (other than my already mentioned "quick lights-out-fullscreen shortcut!). I haven't experienced one single bug since the later RC's so I'm not complaining.

You work for Adobe Victoria?

No, but I am involved, and non disclosure agreements means I can't say much more than that!

I wish that when LR tells you that an import has not happened for some files because they're duplicates ( i.e. 'already in catalog') and it shows you which ones, I wish it would offer you the ability to see where on your HD you have the duplicates, I mean I know It can show you where the dupes are but where are the originals then , I mean how do you then know which duplicates you can safely delete?

I think IM sounding confusing as usual... what I mean is, ok ther are dupicates, (how'd they get there?), I want to delete the extras to save HD space , but it's going to take me an age to find which are already inported ( where?) so I will know whether it's safe to delete the dupes
i'e' it would be great if the window that tells you they are already in catalog would give mor options to deal with the dupes

merci beaucoup ( I think I may be getting the hang of LR sloooowly....;)):D
