Apply it in the metadata section of the right panel in the Library module.

Mike - I checked that. I had already done that. I created a custom copyright signature on the starboard side of the lib module. It was on.
When I tried the export with copyright checked, nothing came out on the export version. I'll look at it again.

Maybe I just did it to one photo.

Step back please... I'm armed with a camera...

You actually write that info when you import your pictures. It's in the copyright field, whatever you write there will be used.

JA

Thanks it worked.

Is there a way to make the watermark bigger??

I don't believe so, I think there is a thread about that wich blames Adobe for overlooking that feature.

After reading the posts here, I still can't locate where I can add the copyright watermark using LR. A screen capture will be most useful...:)

Regards,
weilik

P/S: I'm looking at the Metadata column in the Library module but can't find anything related.

LRmorgify will allow you to add a watermark across the image and frames, or any combination, on export. http://timothyarmes.com/lrmogrify.php (external link)

PS. Look at the copyright info on the bottom RH panel in the library.

LR [also] allows you to add the copyright watermark on export.

On export, choose the export template and complete the panel on the right side of the export window.. and scroll down. Close to the bottom of the panel there is a checkmark, something like 'Apply Copyright Watermark'.

You can switch it on, or off. You can't reposition it or change the size, style or font. The application decides how to scale it for your exported image.

Note - I don't have LR in front of me right now, so I forget actual names of the menu options, panels etc...

stasber,

I tried checking or unchecking it and the Watermark never appears anywhere.

I tried installing this program but it can be very tricky so I have abandoned the idea. Anyhow, it's pretty powerful from what I see from the site but unfortunately....

Anyone knows any good plugins that allow information like aperture, shutter speed and ISO together with the watermark.

In the Library module, scroll down to the very bottom of the right hand side panel, and you will see the section for Copyright. When you select "Add Copyright Watermark" in the Export window it copies whatever is in the "Copyright" field and places it in the lower left corner of the exported image.

As for a watermark that includes all that other stuff.. not sure what plugins would allow that.

The one I told you about will do all that.

Are you running Windows?

If so, download and install http://www.imagemagick.org …3.7-9-Q16-windows-dll.exe (external link)

Install LRmorgify,

restart LR

http://www.lightroomforums.net/showthread.php?t=793&page=2 (external link) has more..

You don't need to install Microsoft Visual Studio unless you download the source code for imagemagick and compile it yourself.

jbimages,

Thanks for the step-by-step but it seems the link is dead? BTW, which is the appropriate one - 16 or 8 bits?

Cheers.

N/B: I'm Windows XP Pro SP2 powered.

I used ImageMagick-6.3.7-10-Q16-windows-dll.exe the 16 means it will work with 16 bit files so you can export a 16 bit TIFF from Lightroom and have it play around and then create a jpg, which will be 8 bits 'cause that what jpgs are.
