Wedding shot w/ bad shadow - photoshoppers help!

I got a really bad shadow in the picture below. Can anyone tell me the best techniques to use to take that shadow out?

So far, I've tried using the paintbrush to color it in then using an "add noise" filter to blend it in w/ the noisy background. But, should I be starting with the original color version? Whatever I do seems to look terrible and obvious!

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I can see a tiny bit of side shadow, I wouldn't worry about it. If I did want to do anything i'd increase the side so it's not obvious that it's side shadow, which would be quicker and easier than removing what's there.
