I've search everywhere and simply cannot locate my Canon software.

I shoot with a 5D and can't find my DPP and Viewer Utility software CDs. It's driving me nuts because it's not like me to misplace stuff. Anyway, I've fired off an email to Canon USA but I'm wondering........ has anyone else gone this route and if so, did Canon provide replacement CDs?

(Note: Canon offers UPDATES but not full programs for download)

No. Mine sits in the box where I placed it after installing it.

Yep, that's where I thought it was, but it's NOT.

Nice to know that now.. ;)
In that case, I guess you totally depend on what Canon tells you to do/buy..

I really didn't start this thread to find out how many forum members actually USE the Canon DDP software. I understand that many have not even used Canon DPP, etc.

To be clear: I was curious if anyone has actuallyrequested replacement software from Canon.

Steph give Canon a call tomorrow and see how it goes. I'd have a tendency to think if you can prove ownership of the camera that might would issue a replacement CD or at least tell you how to go about getting a copy.

Well maybe since no one uses it you can find someone to give it to you...via mail or file transfer. After all, we're all on the internet.

I bought a used 10D a while back. No CDs. I called Canon and they were happy to provide me with a copy. Not free, however. I THINK I paid somthing around $30.00 for it.
