Curious if anyone has used this tripod. I've owned some smaller tripods before and the problem with them is the ball head never supports the heavy lens on the front of the camera (my experience is with my 20D/grip + 17-40L). So I saw this one on BH and it looks promising assuming the ball head support is good enough...

I would plan to use this on a 10-22mm, 17-55 2.8 or 16-35L.

Anyone know?

just realized i posted this in the Lens forum, probably should be put in the accessories forum. sorry!

Supports 3 lbs and that isn't much. You should be able to add up the mass of each of your items and determine if it is over the rated mass.

My problem is the camera with lens attached is heavier on the front end where the lens points and that causes the ball head to move even when tightened. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience using it.
