We have and love our G7, and still use the old G2 every once in awile. The G7 takes good video as well. Use it often.

Its really good for situation where I can't or don't want to bring the SLR because it fits in your pocket and very unobtrusive.

I also have a newer Fuji F31fd, which is decent for high-iso shooting. It's not like a DSLR, but it's a lot better than any other P&S I've used for low-light. I like the size too. What I like about it is that it takes the same card as my 300D and my new 40D. Gear: Canon Powershot S60, 300D, 40D. Tamron 90mm 2.8 Macro, Canon 70-200 f2.8 L IS, Canon 17-55 f2.8 IS. Canon 580EX II, Sunpak AF5000, Canon Ringlite MR14-EX and a few other bits and bobs.
