Xs Drive Pro Problem

I don't know if the new version will solve your problem but it has some neat new features such as showing long file names.

Okay, I have updated my firmware to 1.2, still wont turn off with the power button, still doesn't worry me.

Not certain if you made this clear, but are you still connected to the PC? I found that the drive won't time out and power down, if the AC cord is connected, and it is mounted to the PC. If the connection has been idle for a while, and I unmount the drive from the PC (eject USB), then I unplug the drive USB cable, it powers down, even if it is still on AC power.

Kind of surprised me the first time it did it.

Nope, it definately is a hardware problem. Melody from Vosonic (Taiwan) actually replied to my service request and suggested I send the unit in for warranty repair, this is a fairly common problem it seems.

when you say that shows long file names, do u mean just on the drive when conneted to PC, or on the LCD screen?, cause for me on the LCD screen there only DOS lengh

On the LCD. Not sure if it is the new 1.2 version or the Multilanguage file name update which I installed also but now I can see long file names on the LCD.

well ive just updated from 1.1 to 1.2, so i'll try that multilang one i guess. so when you go into MP3 mode does it list the song names by the full lenght?

looks like that was it, there now long file name, HUGE TEXT that scrolls across the screen. this what yours does?

Yeap. That is what it does. It gives you long file names in a large font that scrolls.
