Awesome quality shots and nice action capture! I actually went for the first time this past Saturday on a company trip, we played for about 8 hrs, it was rather intense, not to mention how sore I was the next day!

Good job on the pics!

I like all of them. Especially good being able to see the eyes behind the goggles. Those are going to look good on a website for sure.

Good stuff. I hope you didn't get hit. I would imagine a paint ball would play havoc with camera gear.

Did you have to wear protective gear!

Great photos! Out of curiousity, were these taken at PBA for their 5 map CAPS series?

thanks guys, i wrap my 70-200 and part of my body w/ sweat bands to keep paint off of them, i did get shot in the camera SEVERAL times in LA at the PSP event, but nothing damaging, and yes, definitely have to wear a mask inside the net.

doubleo6point9-they were indeed at the 5man CAPS, were you there?

Pretty cool shots.

Some of them would have benefitted from different crops and maybe a different angle, but props for #6... gotta love when you catch a break like that.

Umm some suggestions (as I shoot paintball as well) Action shots usually go over really well (ie: Sliding, diving bunkering, breakouts)

Every try tilting the camera slightly? it gives a nice touch to certain shots.

lower angles work great!

Shoot on continuous mode on breakout, you usually catch a break on someone.

But Yea.. #6 is actually a really great shot.. its just too bad its not as sharp as it could have been.

thanks for the tips. If you look on my website Ive got all sorts of different compositions from tight crops to wider shots, these were just the first ones I uploaded. I shoot constant all the time, it just works better for running/bunkering/dive shots, i was looking at another player when I saw the guy in 6 start to move, i spun and clicked super super fast :(

Yea I saw the website after I posted. Good stuff.

But Yea I hate when that happens. :(.. New rule. players should ell the cameraman when they are going to be doing something. ie : Diving moving or bunkering people. :)
