Hmmm have you done much PP? It either looks like you ahve substituted the background or oversharpened. Those edges don't seem to look right?

The sun was sideways behind the Puffin so the beak is lit up from behind. I really like the effect you get but it can be a difficult shot to make since it is so easy to underexpose the face it self. I know it is a little dark but I got the effect I wanted. Since the sun is sideways behind it you also get sharp outlines.

Yes, I was very close. In some locations you can get amazingly close to the Puffins. This shot...about 4 meters.

i cant say anything that hase'nt already been said but as all above .
ive still yet to see them around the british coast line but i now of an island of the coast nth wales might take a trip if i go camping there.
