If I get the bluetooth addition to the mac pro, can I connect say a bluetooth mircosoft keyboard and mouse to that without using the usb bluetooth piece that comes with it?

That sounds about right to me.

If you have bluetooth, it allows you to do it without USB. Although I find for photoshop, I prefer a wired mouse.

I prefer to know that every movement I do with my mouse is 100% accurate. As great as wireless technology is, we all know it isn't perfect. I find that when zoomed in and editing photos (i.e. using lasso, a brush, clone stamp, etc) that it skips and I can't be very accurate with a wireless mouse.

2nd that opinion. I kept my wireless keyboard, but threw the bluetooth mouse against the wall in a fit on inaccurate passion. If you're word processing, fine. If your painting on a PS Layer, not so fine tracking.
