well, just got my 5D back from the NJ Service Center. i sent it in because the viewfinder was absolutely filthy, dust spots, scratches (mainly my fault because i tried to clean it myself). i opened the box up, slapped on my 24-70 and ALAS, the viewfinder is spotless!!! yipeeeeee!!! i dont know how they did it but im happy!
they also replaced my rear TFT screen because they said that it was scratched (i never noticed it). and did a complimentary focus screen and CMOS cleaning. all items were under warranty and the only money i spent was the shipping cost.
here's the best part, i got it back in 3 days, HURRAY FOR CANON NJ!!!!!
