If you go up to the cafe inside the museum you can get this shot from the clock up to the Sacre Coeur through one of the famous clock faces.

thanks so much for posting this! When I was in the Orsay, I hadn't yet taken up photography - that scene was one that made me decide it was a hobby to pursue.

Great shot. My only gripe is that I would've got the building on the hill in the middle of the bottom gap.

Great shot! Is this from a recent trip to Paris. Just a quick question on a different topic. I am going to Paris soon and have heard tons of stuff on pick pockets etc. Did you ever feel that your camera was in danger of being stolen?

I live in Paris. There are pick pockets especially on the metro, just be careful as you would in any big city. I quite often go out with my camera when we go for a walk and even with my 70-200L I dont feel that the camera is in any danger. If you stop at a busy cafe or restaurant always keep an eye on your stuff.
