When I install the CS3 upgrade on my mac, do I have to remove CS2 first or will the CS3 installer taker of that for me. I never installed the CS3 beta on my mac so that is not an issue.

You'll need to have CS or CS2 installed in order install the upgrade. Once you've upgraded you can remove CS2 from your machine.

Adobe recommends uninstalling the Beta version of CS3 first, if you had it.

actually CS3 final will not even install if CS3 beta is on the computer, you need to completely get rid of beta first, which was a bit problematic at first.

They have a script for Mac users at Adobe to help removing it.
