I have a viewsonic ve910b. Nice monitor ,But my first one died within a month of owning it.Customer service was a nightmare trying to get it fixed. They sent me a brand new one but it took almost 2 months.I wont buy anything of theirs again simply for the run around I got.

Try out their Pro series - those would have a model designation of VP, like the VP930b.

I bought one of those back in February. It's a little pricier but the image is stunning and it has it's own calibration S/W. Granted, it's not as good as using a harware calibrator but it's not too shabby.

I've noticed recently after using a their Pro Series for the past 4 years that some the ones today are 6 bit monitors, certainly not what I'd call Pro Series.

My new Apple Cinema Series blows the ViewSonic away.

Anybody know how to verify the bit configuration on a Viewsonic? I went nosing around their website but couldn't find any obvious product specs that provide that info.

Is the Apple 8-bit?
