Nice job. It definitely looks sharper than my first trials. I think I had a mm of movement on the tripod. Nice work.

Why do you need HDR for this scene? It looks like there's hardly any dynamic range... overcast, flat lighting... Perhaps if you could show us the originals it would make sense.

Well, you got decent results on it for a first try. Although, like StewartR pointed out, there's not much dynamic range in this photo.

Unfortunately there's a lot of poor (in my opinion) examples of HDR floating around the internet. I often refer people to this photo blog ( http://www.absolutely-nothing.co.uk …arris/?cid=739&​lang=en-gb (external link) ) when talking about HDR images because they do a great job of making the HDR image look natural, as it should (again in my opinion).

These images inspired me to try a few HDR images, although the results weren't even close. Hopefully they can help you and others to try and find that "perfect image".

i over-processed those pics some. was playing around with it. i have a few more i did since then that look a little more natural and not so much like a painting.


went a little crazy with the color saturation in these but they look a little more "real" than the one above.
