actually no, I've never done the Farnes - I was going to last year, but never got round to it. Maybe this year though...

Buddy,

f/6.3 for 1, 2 and 4, f/5.6 for no. 3 (the EXIF is in all of the images, incidentally).

These were all AF'd - I have a problem with my viewfinder eye that means I can't manually focus accurately.

Those are tremendously sharp, and the plover is a top-notch composition. I've had the Kenko DG300 1.4 TC for about a week, but haven't had a chance to put it on the 100-400L and play with it beyond taping the pins to make sure the lens autofocuses (it does, and very little slower than without it).

Great series here Keith, all fantastic, sharp shots nicely composed. The ringed plover takes the prize for me, the low angle, detail, and composition to which IMHO the little stone adds greatly! Very well done.
