she's ready for him to arrive lol. she's been battling a cold the last two weeks. sucks there's not much she can take, but she's taking it in stride.

Just got my 50L Here is one from my first play session (wide open)

There is SICKENING focus shift at f/4+... guess i'll just shoot at 1.2 from here on out ;] what a shame. Side note for all perspective buyers though, the focus shift is bad and this is still my favorite lens (even over my 85/1.2) I think that says a lot. You wont regret the buy.

I've been shooting at F/4.0 - F/11 in the past few days (Landscapes / Group shots) -- And I've nailed every single photo, tack sharp.

On the flip-side I've been shooting single portraits from F/1.2 to F/2.8, also - Again, 100% tack sharp. It sounds like you're doing something wrong, IMHO. I've heard of the whole "focus shift" thing but I'm yet to see it and I'm the biggest "check it at 100% zoom for perfect focus or its garbage" guy out there.
