We just did the same last week or so. We discovered we only have a need for one car while I'm finishing school here in Arizona so we kept my car, a Cadillac CTS. Problem is, it was so difficult getting Dex in and out rear-facing in my car. He is already the average height of a three year old and weighs nearly thirty pounds. We practically had to fold him in half to get him in and out through the hole provided when rear-facing. Since forward facing though, he is as quiet as can be, even at the long lights out here in Peoria.

RE: kids facing forward, wait till they can kick your seats. The CTS will suck for that. I quit putting kids in my sedans. We only put them in the wifes Flex now. They can't reach the front seats with their feet anymore!

I think I'm going to be able to order my 50L on Tuesday! I can't wait!

We are fortunate enough to live in an area where he may be placed in a vehicle once a week, if that. We can walk to the mall and just about any other place we feel like going, and we even have our groceries delivered; it keeps us from impulse buying and only costs an extra $4. The rare occasion in which he is in the car, it's for less than two miles. We had a lengthy discussion regarding front-facing with the pediatrician and he advised us that our little guy is off the charts for his age regarding size and weight and neck strength, so there would be no worries. He said "guidelines are just that, guidelines."

LR4's defringe tool would clean that purple gunk up easily

but i kinda like the radioactive neon fringing
