I rented this lens from Adorama last year for $25. It was a treat to walk around NYC with one, and these images came from that session. I have since purchased my own.

why do I even read this blog goddamned ... I have the 35L ( this year probably getting the 85L when I get the funds for it ) and I got the 135L ... I'm considering getting this beauty even if its so close to my 35L and 85mm... damn you guys!

How do you like having 50/85/135? Most folks have 35/85/135 so it's interesting to have the 50 instead. I have considered it. I'm finally going to FF only, so I'm going to ride it out for a few months and see if I want to try it out. Using the 35 on my 7D I was missing the width and environment in my shots.

the 50L is many times faster in the AF department than the 85L. I rented it a few weeks ago and that thing is molasses. it puts out fantastic pictures, but ultra-slow.
