I'm looking at getting an Wacom Intuis3 tablet. I heard that 4x6 is a good size since your hand won't have to pick up and I've heard that it's too small too?

It does depend on your preference....but my vote is at least 6x8 (I have a 6x8, but on my workstation, I have 9x12...can't help it, was a painting major in college):D If you wind up doing any graphics work and not use it for basic functions, IMO you need as much space on a tablet as you can fit. I have my 6x8 for my laptop, and it goes with me when I'm on trips: conveniently is similar dimensions to my laptop and fits in a laptop case quite easy.

Thanks, I haven't done a detail search yet, but I figure'd there would be about a $100 diff with the refurbished. Maybe not with the link you provided.

I have the 6x8. It was the highest recommended size when I was looking. I haven't regretted it yet and enjoy it daily.

I'm sure it's all personal preference, but I hated my 4x6 when I had it. I think I would have enjoyed the larger tablet much more. I'll know for sure when I buy a 6x8 later this year. :)
