I might have to do some upgrading on my pc if I want CS3. I can understand most of the requirements, but why do you need a DVD drive? Is it needed for the tutorials that come on the cd? I have other software that wants a DVD drive, but it is for video help and I never install it. I never watch tutorial videos. I prefer to read the manual and will print the manual if I have to. I don't intend to use multimedia, and I don't have broadband. I don't want the stock photos so that isn't a problem. There are some features in CS3 that I do want.

eventually you will need a DVD drive. the software may come ona DVD instead of a cd if its too large for a cd. You can get one with burning software for under $50. I can't imagine not having a DVD drive in this age.

I assume you didn't download it from Adobe, but purchased a disc.

Me to. Dvd burners are very cheap these days.

Agree, get a burner if for no other reasons than to archive your images.

Under $50.00 will actually get a you top of the line DVD-Burner..
A DVD player will be under $20.00..and of course you can get a very good DVD Burner for about $30.00
