I have started to noticed this with many of my RAW images with my 30D, especially with nature and flower images, that the color doesn't seem to be vibrant at all, and yet i have the picture modes on some of the more vibrant ones. I always have to up the saturation levels a whole lot, like 25%, in Rawshooter. Does anyone have any input?

Raw is not going to pump the colors up with any parameter settings. Not familiar with Rawshooter, but you should be able to boost the colors in DPP. Go to Canon's website and go through the tutorials on adjusting color and sharpening images with DPP and it will help you a lot, I think.

I agree with Jon_Doh. Also, make sure you're not taking your pics in AdobeRGB and viewing them in sRGB after conversion. That f***s up the saturation.

When you shoot Raw, color rendition is provided entirely by the software that you use for Raw processing. The camera merely provides a file full of sensor data.

If you don't like the colors that you're getting from RawShooter, you might try another Raw processor program (there are over a dozen). SilkyPix is generally renowned for its ability to produce vibrant colors, so that would probably be a good one to start with.

It also depends on the lens you're using, some just produce more vibrant colors right out of the box than others.
